Our Tour Operator, Galapex, began as a small family business in the heart of the Galápagos Islands. Today, we remain a tight-knit and efficiently run company, led by Paul McFarling, a British biologist, naturalist, and photographer who has been exploring the islands since 1992. Ruth Torres provides essential support in our office, ensuring smooth operations.
Our Team
Our guiding team includes Paul, along with Luis “Champi” Rodriguez and Daniel Fitter, all seasoned naturalists with decades of experience and outstanding reviews. Since 2001, we’ve operated as an Ecuadorian Tour Organizer.
As guides ourselves, we have a deep understanding of what visitors to Ecuador and the Galápagos seek. We personally engage with our clients from the very first communication through to the end of the trip, ensuring a personalized and attentive experience.
