This town is much more laid back then the other two ports in Galapagos. With sandy beaches, palm trees, and nearby mangroves, it's a picturesque destination. You'll encounter marine iguanas and sea lions as you explore the town, and there's a vibrant nightlife by the beach. The town itself is laid-back and less developed, offering a peaceful atmosphere. Simply wandering around town is delightful, with lagoons and the tortoise breeding center, where you can also spot flamingos. Taking a stroll through the lagoons is a wonderful experience too, as well as the long white sand beach, the focal point of Puerto Villamil.
The closeby Concha de Perla is a jewel of a snorkel site, with good chances of rays, sealions, turtles, sharks and penguins
